Rumored:

There are two stores out at the moment one is build 9200 which is being reported from canouna on winunleaked. The other is build 8888 from wzor which look to be post rtm since the rtm build has been in voting now for a couple of week or so. I'm not posting these in the list as its too early to tell which is correct.

Side note: I have heard an (admittedly unconfirmed) rumor that the Win8 Release Candidate will be released the first week of June and will be Build 8370.
Yawn.

I've heard this too and believe it. I have bad memory, but I heard this from a official source, but seriously can't put my finger on it.

I heard it from a friend who claims to have heard it directly from a Microsoft employee. I trust this friend, but since I have no way to confirm the statement....yeah. I'll just hope it's true. Oh, and the Office 15 beta should be coming shortly after.
Yawn.

Ok ya I decided it was time to update the chart completely but keep the same looks so as not to confuse people.

Now regarding Release Preview information I got conflicting information on that one. It could be 8370 however also got some other people saying it will be 8400. However this will be confirmed in the next couple of days from canouna as well, so not that much to worry about here. Now the build list should be up to date with what I've found on the sites I'm active on.

Smorgan, about those "Release to Manufacturing" builds in the 84xx range - are they pre-RTM builds? I'm asking this, since I know that with Windows Vista and Windows 7/Server 2008 R2, there were various pre-RTM, or RTM "Escrow" builds, compiled before the product went RTM "Gold", with the last of such Windows 7 builds, Build 7600.16385, being declared as the final shipping product.

Because of this, and because most of the underlying code is still the same, I would guess that Windows 8/Server 2012 is the same way, and that the "Release to Manufacturing" builds are actually pre-RTM, or RTM "Escrow" builds.

8411 is indeed one of the early release to manufacturing builds. I would not be surprised if it was the first build out from the development team guys. I will try to keep this list up to date if I miss one just post it in the thread anyhow. I will go with the release date my date was pretty off hehe.

Not you think is to earlier for RTM builds?... If Microsoft announce gold build for October how I heard from some rumors, I think present 84xx builds cannot be exactly rtm builds, however what you think about what which build number will be the final rtm gold build?

I'm just passing on information man. The current info I have is that Windows 8 will hit RTM in August with it being Released in late October 2012. Now the build number thats pretty far out just saying man I would just off the wall guess the following.

Windows 8 Release Preview (RC) - 8400
Windows 8 RTM Gold - 8500-8600 (any in between)

Keep in mind these are just guesses.

Ok, ok, I just want to heard your opinion, that's all. I think there ware 1600 main builds between vista rtm (6000) and windows 7 (7600), so maybe microsoft for cosmetic or pleasehold reason to hit rtm and reach gold in build after 8600, maybe 8800, but that are only my guesses.

Didn't they jump build numbers going from 72xx to 76xx?

Yeah, that's how should to be, but I heard from someone maybe from SaT (I'm not sure) that there is one or more unleaked builds from 73xx development period

And this tread also but it's seems fake to me

I bet that would mean 8600 would be the RTM? 8250 and 8370 seem to be far apart from each other and 8600 seems like a reasonable number to end at.

Ok time for more news Windows 8 RP will be built on May 25th I'm leaning on 8400 however this may not be the precise build number.

There will be a 12 day test period in which the build will be chosen.

Been a bit busy for the last couple of days Build 8375 is the consumer Release Preview 2 for the OEM's.

I did not notice 8331 as of yet however 8383 was posted by Nawzil.

Windows 8 Release Preview or Release Candidate as I like to call it will be built on May 25th.

Updated List.

Ultra Windows I will add this build later once I verify it because the 8400 build is supposed to be the official Release Preview that goes out to the public. However it was to be build on May 25th not a week ago.

Build is a fake.

Source: Nawzil says it is.
