Re: Windows NT 4.0 sound problem in VMware
It's because you need the drivers for it (It's a Sound Blaster 128 PCI)

Re: Windows NT 4.0 sound problem in VMware
or simply let VMWare emulate a SB16 instead.
add
sound.virtualDev = "sb16"
in your vmx file.
add

in your vmx file.

The last time I tried that didn't work for me ...roytam1 wrote:or simply let VMWare emulate a SB16 instead.

But that could work too.
Re: Windows NT 4.0 sound problem in VMware
Remember that the emulated SB16 isn't a PnP device and you have to setup I/O port, DMA channel, IRQ number by yourself. Default settings will not work.EPPM wrote:The last time I tried that didn't work for me ...roytam1 wrote:or simply let VMWare emulate a SB16 instead.

It's still easy! All you gotta do is go into Control Panel, then click Multimedia. In one of those tabs there should be a device manage like panel. And then you click add in Audio Devices (or whats it's called). And then you scroll down to Sound Blaster (Not the one with PCI!). And then you click install or add. And then you just got to click next and next and it'll ask you to rebootTheCollector1988 wrote:the video was removed.
