Post by stefan9 »

2 disk set, one with course material and one with a 120 day trial of 2000 server. The server disk is nothing more than 2000 RTM with a 120 day timebomb. The other disk has this stuff:

WHAT'S ON THIS CD?
==================

This CD contains the following items:

- Hands-on exercise files to accompany and articles that supplement
the MCSE Training Kit--Microsoft Windows 2000 Server book

- Media files for the MCSE Training Kit--Microsoft Windows 2000
Network Infrastructure Administration book

- An online library that contains the four books included in this
MCSE Training Kit

HOW TO USE THE CD
=================

Files to accompany the MCSE Training Kit--Microsoft Windows 2000
Server book
----------------------------------------------------------------

For each chapter in the book with exercises and/or articles, there
is an accompanying chapter folder. Contained inside each chapter
folder is an exercise folder and/or an article folder. These contain
exercise files and Word documents, respectively.

In the Articles folder on this CD-ROM, you will find Microsoft
Word documents that offer additional information on topics
discussed in the book. To read these articles, you must have
Microsoft Word installed on your computer.

In the Exercise folder on this CD-ROM, you will find hands-on
exercises, which contain the scripts referred to in the exercises
in the book. To complete some of these exercises, you must have
two networked computers or be connected to a larger network. Ideally,
the network used for the exercises in this kit should not be an
isolated network. Both computers must be capable of running Microsoft
Windows 2000 Server. For hardware and software requirements and setup
instructions, see the "Getting Started" section in the introductory
"About This Book" chapter.

All files can be used directly from the CD-ROM or manually copied
from the CD-ROM onto your hard drive.

Media files for the MCSE Training Kit--Microsoft Windows 2000
Network Infrastructure Administration book
-------------------------------------------------------------

The media files referenced in the book are included on this
CD in the \Media folder. To view the media files from this CD,
open the \Media folder and follow the instructions that appear
in the chapter text of the book when the Media files are referenced.

An online library of the four books included in this
MCSE Training Kit
----------------------------------------------------

To use the online library

1. Insert the Supplemental Course Materials CD-ROM into your CD-ROM
drive.

2. Select Run from the Start menu on your desktop, and type
D:\Ebook\Setup.exe (where D is the name of your CD-ROM drive).

3. Click OK.

You must accept the License Agreement by clicking on the Yes
button to continue. Follow the instructions within the Installation
Wizard to begin to use the online versions of the four books.

If you choose a Typical Installation, you must have the Supplemental
Course Materials CD-ROM inserted in your CD-ROM drive for the online
library to function appropriately. If you choose a Full Installation,
you must have sufficient free hard disk space to install the complete
online library. If you choose a Custom Installation, you must have
sufficient free hard disk space to install the online books you select.

NOTE If you are using a system running Windows NT 4.0 or later
(including Windows 2000), you will need administrative privileges to
install the online versions of these books. However, if your system
has Internet Explorer 5, you can view these online books by selecting
Run from the Start menu, typing d: (where d is the name of your CD-ROM
drive), browsing the \ebook folder for the 2000CORE.chm file, and
opening this file.
