Wow... im older than all of you (except RentedMule(maybe)) because I don't want to reveal my age (I or he could or could not be or not be older or younger than RentedMule or not RentedMule), but why are all of you like 15 or 13 or 14?

And I think a lot of young people are involved with betas probably because they have the largest amount of expendable time. As you get older, you have more and more things that need your attention more.

I don't get why people won't reveal their age, its not like you should be ashamed of it? Anyone can enjoy Betas. Why don't you give us a range of 10 years to work with? E.G. I'm between 20 and 30 years old Everyone knows my real age anyway (20) but why don't you do that instead if you don't want to give your exact age?

It's more like a vanity/superficial type of area that the younger generation and some of the older gens don't (dislike) to reveal their age.
When it comes to the young ones (12-16), it's more the fact that they may feel people might look down at them as not capable or lack the maturity of people who are a little older then themselves...quite some more I could add, but you get the idea.
I know myself that I lied about my age (I stayed 16, 19 and 20 for years LOL) for quite some time, that included hiding my first name for just over a decade over the net, but after a while it just didn't really matter.
But it's all cool if you feel uncomfortable about revealing your age, just do what Andy said in the post before mine, just put a general age group such as; I.E "I'm 15 to 20" or "20 to my mid 20s), it's not much of an issue, but do what you feel is comfortable to what's in your mind.

Reading this thread makes me feel old, and I just turned 24! (8-July-1985).
But its good to know that so many young people are interested in older betas and legacy software. Today most computer users just stick on using their software, never wondering how or why it works the way it does.

LOL It looks like the majority of people on this site are, well, young. Yeah I guess the older you are the less time you get...or is it that most of the people my age grew up with PCs, idk....I used a PC with Windows 95 in Day Care (it's amazing how I remember that)

I'm 15, I've been into beta stuff ever since I was around 10. I remember looking at screenshots on the back of video game boxes and noticing that things were different than the final product. Eventually I found the Zelda's Secret Ocarina fansite about two or so years before they discovered the Arwing in Zelda:OOT.
