It is not a new OS just a hacked one, read what you need for running a Mac and see if your hardware works well with IAKTOS with a Google search, it is not that complicated...

The most important think is to determine if your processor support SSE3. If it support SSE3, you could run the vanilla kernel. If the highest it support is SSE2, you must use other kernel eg. voodoo which emulate SSE3 to SSE2 equivalent. If you do not know, use Lavalys EVEREST or look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_Pentium_4_microprocessors

Also, Mac OS X can run in both 32 bit and 64 bit mode.

To dual boot with Windows XP (x86 or x64), boot from GParted Live CD and flag NTFS as booting partition.
Open C:\boot.ini and add the following line:
C:\chain0="Mac OS X"

so it reads:
Code:
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Windows XP Professional x64 Edition" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
C:\chain0="Mac OS X"

Obtain a copy of chain0 from here: http://redirectingat.com/?id=292X457&ur ... chain0.rar
extract it and put it in C:\

There is something now that actually emulates SSE3? I thought, at least back when I was messing with osx86, it just removed the requirement for SSE3 and all the apps that needed it wouldn't work, e.g. iTunes.

You heard me right, Voodoo emulate SSE3 to SSE2 equivalent. iTunes and all other SSE3 applications does work on SSE2 processor if Voodoo is installed.

I installed iATKOS 5i 8)
With Voodoo Kernel because, if I install without selecting any kernel (Vanilla), at boot my PC auto-restart :P
And thanks to Day2Die for his precious help.
Modification: I could run Vanilla because I have SSE3 :?
Here is my processor

Pentium 4 HT 530
