This isn't all of my stuff, it's just my main setup down here in the basement.
The screen of my main computer (the one with the big blue fans).
My computers on the cart.
My thermal electric fridge for beverage storage.
Another PC setup.
A third PC setup.
The laptop table.
Old eMachines eOne. I don't use it much but it does work. XP Professional installed.
My radio, which is connected to my PC's line-in, allows me to listen to FM and [censored] while gaming or browsing. There's obviously some other [censored] on that table too.
...and that's all I feel like taking pictures of for now. That's my setup.
My desk in its cleanest state:
From left to right:
- Toshiba Satellite Pro 2100 (yes, that's an apple sticker on there)
- Compaq S710 CRT Screen, connected to the iMac on the right
- Sony Ericsson K700i (next to the keyboard)
- iMac G5
- Lacie 250 gig external hard drive, Porsche Design, Firewire 400
- Cheap-o headphones
my old '486 tower PC (purple), IBM AS/400 9406-500, Symbolics 3650 LISP machine, SGI IRIS 3130, SGI Onyx RealityEngine2, another SGI Onyx RE2. There's also an Atari XL1200 on the right.
I don't even know what all is in this photo. I see an IBM PS/2 Model 95, my old '486, a Macintosh SE/30 on the floor, a NeXT MegaPixel monitor, an Apple //c+, a bunch of CD-ROM drives, some EISA token ring and SCSI cards, a soldering iron, a stack of Sun SCSI drive enclosures, an SGI Indy, a Quadra 700, an IO 2677C twinax terminal for the AS/400, and a bunch of weird stuff in the background (looks like an Apollo, maybe a DN4000, a PS/2 model 70, an Amiga 3000, some old Convergent NGEN workstations, an Olivetti P6060, who knows?)
Yes, my shop is usually that much of a disaster. Some things don't change.
Admin edit: Read the rules. DO NOT hotlink images!!! Next time i'll simply delete the post.
And the cluttered desk where my server lies. The printer is my favorite Canon BJC-2110, and the device on top of the tower is a Syquest SyJet 1.5 GB cartridge drive. It's SCSI on a parallel port adapter, and it's slow, but it's just a backup/archival drive
Oh, and don't forget the mini fridge and PS2 hooked up to the TV to its right (it's not shown). Oh yeah, and the Wii
Switched to a desktop computer from the laptop, happily running Linux with KDE 3.5!
Also my neighbour gave me couple of Tandberg speakers today, they look great with the desk, and have pretty good sound too.
