Wow, nice collection you have there. You have many original MS beta CDs as well, a fact I like very much. My betas are mostly downloads from Connect or CDs from MSDN, but not, well, "real" beta CDs with a nice logo and that stuff, just standard MSDN/TechNet ones with an according label, but otherwise they look like a bog-standard MSDN/TechNet disk.

A question: Where did you get the WinXP Pro evaluation kits? I'd love to get one as well. It can't have been released with XP's launch as yours already has SP1 in it.

WOAH!!! Where did you get all the trials from? I haven't seen quite a few of those packs? Also, where did you get the betas? Were you a beta tester for all of those products, or did you get them from somewhere else after the beta was finished?

Same question, I only got trials for Windows 2000 and Server 2003, none for XP and Office and stuff. A really great collection.

It seems the WinXP trials could have come from the Technical Reference, but I don't really know.

most of the Trials i get from MS-Austria and some from MS-Netherlands!
MS-Austria had a free Trial-Orderpage until June 2006. But now they take the site offline :( :x
For the Office 2003-Trials, MS-USA had a special Trial-request Page for free in Year 2004!
The SmallBusinessServer-Kit's i got in mass from MS-Germany for free ;)

The Beta-CD's i got as Technical Betatester! (i'm Betatester for MS since year 1998 :)
#Windows "NT5"
#Windows "Whistler" Client & Server
#Office 10
#Office 11
#Office12

Were they all free then? The ones from MS UK are always free, but all the ones on a lot of the other MS sites (the US one is the main one I've looked at) you have to pay postage.

Me neither :( I don't speak Dutch or German anyway, so wouldn't be able to find anything on MS Netherlands or Austria!

Well, German is my mother tongue (and I think I could make my way through a Dutch website if I have to because some of the words are quite similar to German words), but as the web site has been shut down, I don't think I'll have a chance to get them anymore. A possibility would be to get the Technical Reference for an OS because it usually includes a CD with a 120-day trial about this OS the reference is talking about.

The only reason I don't have any trials or betas on CD is because I usually like to download them, since I have a pretty fast connection speed it doesn't really take that long.

Same here... But having a genuine CD is more... genuine, in a way.

yea, I think i'm going to get some CDs instead of downloading them, atleast once, or maybe i'll do both just to have the CD and to have it quicker!

A good collection you have there. The only trial CDs I have are for Office 2003 (and I also have one for Server 2003, but that was downloaded as an ISO and never burned to CD).

Hold on - what's this?! If I just order SBS from the same place as before eg Technet or the SBS page will they send this one now, instead of the old non-R2 one? It doesn't say R2 on the order page :? Are they still including non-trial versiosn of the Office programs?
