Favourite OS All Microsoft operating systems!
Although I'm not sure if this goes in the Microsoft Operating Systems forum or another forum, I thought it would be intresting to have such a poll. I think Microsoft is great. Their products are easy to use, well designed, and have very clean market shares, unlike the Linux market shares which are full of people making attempts at killing Microsoft and making them look bad (no offense intended). Also, Linux market shares are full of people making attempts at forcing everyone (including people who should never it) into using Linux instead of giving them a choice (Again, no offense intended).
Please don't start any arguments or flame wars here.
I generally do not like Microsoft. They are only able to steal design ideas from other companies (*cough*apple*cough*), and seem to have a block on innovative ideas (although, the squircle on Zune2 was a pretty good one). The only reason I use windows is because it has some programs that Mac doesn't have.

I personally like Microsoft, as that is what I've found to be easiest to use, and troubleshoot. I also like that they give incentives to OEMs to bundle Windows and Office. Plus they only steal the good s**t... And people that say 'oh windows is too expensive...' need to steal more. Magic Jellybean Keyfinder + School/Work = Genuine Licence!

I know they're evil, and Vista has let everybody down, but I'm going to vote Yes because: there are a few very nice things they're doing. Namely Office 2007, Home Server, their keyboards and mice, and maybe even the new Zune.
Plus their corporate culture, while not as uber pro as Google, is really quite nice. The employees are actually friendly to meet in person, and the nicer ones (*cough* bloggers) are known to give out random sw4g.

I like some of the things Microsoft do like making good software and operating systems but I the way they think that different versions of Software (eg Vista) are good.
I like Microsoft. They make some great products (and some not so great) Microsoft and Apple made computers easy to use for everyone. Bill Gates is a very visionary man.
Strange question; i got nothing to Microsoft at all... more to their products... Genneraly i like their products, with a few exceptions of course. For example: i like Windows 98, NT4, 2000/Neptune, XP and 2003 but i hate Windows 2.x, Millenium and Vista. Also i like all versions of Office except 2000...
Asking if we like microsoft on a mostly MS betas related forum, Why else would we be here.
Not everyone who likes Windows likes Microsoft. When I read marktuson's website, he said he hates "Microsoft" as he called it. So not everyone who is intrested in Windows likes Microsoft. However, I like Microsoft.

I'm pretty much indifferent as far as Microsoft the company goes, though I enjoy their products. Windows and Office specifically and I'd quite like to try a Zune at some point too (though I don't believe they sell them in the UK at all). The XBOX and XBOX360 are both fairly good consoles and their PC game controllers aren't all that bad either.

This forum does not exclusively deal with MS. I don't like them, and am here nevertheless. Is that a problem?
And, ironically, I hate betas. Just plain hate them. They are, at least on my hardware, unstable, and generally unreliable. Vista < RTM = crap. Whistler < 2600 = crap. Me < 2525.2 = crap.
I've used betas for a long time before I came to the internet, and I found the earlier betas fairly stable, but I never used them in a production environment. I just need the s**t to work when I need to get things done.

No that's not a problem. I'll just start a thread entitled "Do you hate Apple" I know what would happen to that topic, it would be deleted immediatly & the term "No fanboyism allowed" would be the reason. Please, why you people endorse such childish posts is beyond me.

I bet if an MS beta of something rare were to turn up, the lot of you would be scrambling
like a pack of hungry wolves to get it as quick as your bandwidth permitted. Lets not kid ourselves here aye.

No it wouldn't. Do you see this thread deleted for asking if you hate MS?
Your post was the childish one.
Yes, I do like Microsoft. I actually like the new Zune product they came out with, as it is a MAJOR improvement over the last one, which shows they aren't giving up just yet! I might actually buy one since it's cheaper and has more features IMO than the nano today. But if you want storage and decent MP3 player...then get the iPod. lol
But yeah. Vista Home DOES look pretty, regardless of stealing features from Mac OS X. Past versions of Windows marked history, whether good or bad, much like Mac OS, Linux, OS/2, etc. Microsoft has its ups and downs, but I must say, I'm very impressed with the technologies they've come up with to improve our lives. Like Microsoft Sync in the Ford Focus allows people to give voice commands to make phone calls or start up MP3 songs. It's very awesome. And Microsoft and Apple DO work together to help each other out, whether it be sharing common filetypes, networking, program sharing, and much more. Back then, everything was competition. Now, it's about getting the actual work done, and both Microsoft and Apple allow that. So that's why I actually like Microsoft, unlike you "Evil Microsoft haters" out there.
