So while driving down good ole' US 127 I stopped at a yard sale to look at an old laptop. However, the laptop wasn't what I bought. Right beside it, lied a copy of Windows Vista Beta 2. However, it was in like PERFECT condition. The DVD's have NO scratches, and the product key card was there without a bend. I asked the owner if it had previously been installed, and he said once. So, I asked for a price and he said "Umm... $10?" So I gave a look like it was too high, and he quickly said "Okay... $5.00" I pulled out a five, picked it up and had a small party in the car by myself. So, instead of keeping it all to myself, here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure. Don't ask, it's not for sale, yet.

Not bad, I've never gotten something like this from a yard sale, but I did get BeOS PR2 from a book sale before that relied on donations from the public.

That's an awesome find! I'm wanting to find RC1 and RC2 now

You won't find any RC2, since it wasn't a public preview build.
These Beta 2s and RC1s are pretty common though, since MS made them publicly available, and during the public beta you could get them direct from MS for just the price of shipping.

What makes them hard to find though is the fact that most of the people who had them just simply threw them away. A buddy of mine did with this RC1 copy. I live in an area where the overall computer literacy rate is less than 5%. Finding this was more surprising than anything. Yet, I'm not going to complain. Ahh, nice correction; RC2 was indeed not in the CPP, my bad.

This looks very similar to the Windows Home Server Beta 2 kit, of which I have one of, since I was a beta tester for the original product (Server 2003-based, released in 07 or 08). Same style CD labels, but the kit I have is an all-cardboard case Kinda wish it had a nice plastic case to keep it safe. I should really install it in a VM for [censored] and giggles

I found a Commodore Vic-20 at a garage sale once; is twenty bucks for fair condition a good deal? anyway I found Windows Live OneCare Beta at a garage sale for seven bucks, jumped on it.
