Well why dont you try porting other dlls from the LH build your trying port files from. Surely uxtheme isn't the only file there is that enables styling and desktop composition.

I am aware of and desksrv uxdesk, but in my tests I have not had success. Longhorn in 5048, is extremely simple, just go and presto, it works. The 5048 is the closest Server 2003 builds of Longhorn, but also one of the most buggy interface in question.

EDIT: I compiled the build of Server 2003 with all things in Longhorn 3683. I'll post screens. And with IE 8.0 = P

Well, I have a problem with this coversão: the uxtheme is not compatible as I said. Would have to use files from Server 2003 RC2 or RTM in order to use the themes. Lose safely. All versions will IE 8.0 integrated. The next will be 3706.

Well, for working with builds 3706 to 3718, I have to use the Server 2003 build 3771. The sp2 version is not compatible with the theme and use the shellstyle, the 3706 requires the uxtheme up own. I face problems with up to 4008
the 4033 uxtheme does the system restart. Maybe I'll have to use the WindowBlinds themes in order to have the system. In short, I believe that soon I will have all these builds available. The 4039 builds until 4053 will have serious difficulties to be able to use themes, it may be impossible

I having problems with .net framework. I'm now testing Longhorn 4008, and .net framework crash all time! I discovered that shsvcs.dll make freeze Windows with uxtheme of versions 4008-4033. But, themes is these builds don't work for now.

I really like this project!! Please continue working on this. I can't wait to see it finished!

Good news: I'm finished builds 3663, 3706 and 3718. And......Build 4008 work fully on Server 2003 RTM \o/ Well...this builds and above have a problem: these builds works with "uxdesksb" and....I haven't idea how this exe is started..Who can help-me, i will be grateful! (i will post screen and need options of server to upload the isos!)

Please upload it quickly, I think the uxdesksb is used to control the UX, and BTW Samuka, I want to be developer of this future project, can I?

Exactly. The microsoft considerably complicated the system of themes build 4008 until 4093 ... Well....Well....Good and bad news. Sidebar and others things of builds 4029 and 4033 works on Server 2003, but, shellstyle don't work (for now). I'm go return to my work with 4039 and above, and, mainly, 5048 (correcting the errors). Builds with full work: 3683,3706,3713,3718,4008,4011,4015 and 5048. With partial work (with shell basead on .net framework): 4029 and 4033. Explorer start and possible manage: 4039,4042,4051,4053(without themes).

Updates: Now, builds 4008, 4011,4015 and 4029(maybe 4033) works with themes(native). I solved the problem. I will post screens after.

Edit: Shellstyle on builds 4029 and 4033 don't work for now...So, is disabled for default

I'm working now with build 4039. REMEMBER: only work actually on Server 2003 RTM (non SP1 and Sp2)(I am speaking alone?)

You can try files from 4028, its the first leaked LH server build and should be more stable.
