I've been kinda itching to try out a new forum. I love BetaArchive and all, but it would be nice to visit another forum also from time to time. Are there any forums that you guys recommend? I would prefer a place that still discusses about computers a lot, but is a bit more general too, while still being around the same size as far as members go compared to BA. Also it would be nice to have people I know from here to be on them too. Thanks!
I'd suggest getting your own server/setting up your own installation of some forum software (as well as a more customized) theme as well, or else I'm afraid it probably won't take off. :\
After I registered I was solicited by dating sites and other weird things. Also there's a guy named "Buttplunger" whose only post is "a** hore". You have some work to do my friend. I'm registered under the name "Appa", and wouldn't mind being a mod.

I would but I have no idea how to customize it :c

Yes, an ex-friend of mine, (who is very immature) keeps making accounts. I also have no idea why you were solicited with those ads, All of his accounts (he'll probably make more) are being deactivated. And yes, you will be a global moderator right now. (:
Edit: Oops, I accidently double posted. :c

This is derailing the topic, but Wumbowalrus: I would suggest you run a web server on your computer with no port forwarding just to get the feel of PHPBB instead of just throwing something out there all of a sudden with no idea how to operate it.

Well thats just great
I pretty much don't know any other forums (although I've seen the 7 forums, but only when searching for help with PCs). So I also want some suggestions.

It shouldn't be that way. The only forum I'm willing to help out with would be wumbo's, and quite honestly, Joining a forum with 5 other members wasn't exactly my plan, so please, quit promoting your forums to me, I want to hear about successful ones, not something on freeforums.

£5/yr is not difficult to scrape together.
And what if service isnt available in our country? If its more expensive? If paypal isnt available? If we are not 18+?
I've owned domains since I was about 12-ish. Admittedly not in my name (That didn't happen til I was 16), but I wasn't using Paypal either. Really, it's not difficult to scrape together the pitiful amount you need to buy a domain and get it to someone who can do it for you.
And if for whatever reason, you really can't, don't bother with a website. You're not gaining anything by having some free, ad-filled forum which you have no control over.

Yeh, and then I can delete it for breaking the rules!
This is not a place to spamvertise your crappy free-hosting forums.
Strangely nobody has mentioned MDL, it meets the requirements.

The userbase is slightly larger than BA's(I think), but it's all about computers and technology, both beta and 'normal' software/games/OSes, hardware, ... I'm sure that I'm not the only BA member on MDL.
