The Brookline City Server

I've decided to just make it simpler for people to join, there is only one mod that you need, which is Redpower 2. You don't need a texture pack, but I would recommend DokuCraft x16-64 because it looks better. I'm working on a new post and will link it soon.

After almost two months since the previous snapshot server, I have decided to reopen a server for public use, members from the BetaArchive, as well as those who join from seeing announcements on my Twitter/Facebook page are all welcome, but remember that griefing will not be tolerated. The only requirements to join are that you can install the following mods, use a specific texture pack (it changes a few textures to comply with a City map + its x32 for Higher resolution gameplay + Based on DokuCraft Light + it won't look good without it) and that you use a legit Minecraft account (which means you bought the game!) The server will open tomorrow at 2pm PST. Remember that no whitelist is a privilege, I don't want to really use one, so NO griefing, you will be banned and you'll ruin it for everyone else. Be sure to check the Ramireztime site for more information.
Some Screenshots (Updated once in a while)
From SkyDrive :)

Server IP: N/A

UPDATES:
[6-30-2012]Going to update bukkit and all mods to the most latest, so server will be offline probably until the 4th of July, I might also release an already patched and modded Minecraft.jar, but you still have to download the mods
[6-29-2012]Updated Texture pack, fixed some textures and change some others :P
----------------
Offline for maintenance, there were some glitches with a few plugins, should be back by 1-2pm PST
[6-28-2012]The Ramireztime site has been updated with more information about this new server. Be sure to check it out, the server IP will be posted there first, then here on this post.

Requirements:
Modloader 1.2.5
ModloaderMP 1.2.5 v1
Minecraft Forge v3.1.3.105
Optifine (whichever version you prefer for 1.2.5)
Eloraam's Redpower 2 pr5b2 (All 7 files)
Forestry for Minecraft v1.4.8.0(Coming soon)
& the Texture Pack.

Wow, is that screenshot of Minecraft? And I though minecraft had crappy graphics (main reason for not trying it: looks cheap). Hmm, I must check this out.

Minecraft does have "crappy graphics", but that's the idea, its indy style. The above screenshot has a texture pack applied so it's not what you get in the game by default. It's well worth the money though and it's addictive.

It's always amused me how they've managed to make "incredibly inefficient" into a selling point.

It's built on Java, they had no choice :P Had they used a proper graphics engine they wouldn't have performance problems. 3.0 is supposed to have major performance issues fixed too.

Not really. It's "soon" according to jeb but it is true that could mean anything.

I'd argue using Java is a choice, though one that should never be chosen. Hell, literally just about anything else besides Javascript would be a massive improvement.

It's a sad day when a game like Minecraft uses more resources than Crysis 2, for example.

Yeah, it was a choice, one that Notch made because he was a Java programmer.

I tried the free "classic" version on their site, at first I thought it looked cool, but then I ran into problems, every time I press lefy/right mouse button it will throw up the menu, making the game completely un-playable.

Oh, 0.30. It's so outdated. That version was before Indev! Of course it's buggy because it was in very early development but they put that as free because it is now almost 3 years old and outdated like hell, it has 1/4 inventory from current Minecraft snapshot, 12w26a.

The blocks in terrain.png are big around 16x16, and when Minecraft stretches it you can see it loses quality. I saw this when i was exploring minecraft.jar
