Isn't Mac OS 8 and older so much fun at higher resolutions than 832x624, which most people had with the 15" displays :P.

Graphics kexts are screwed only for non-supported machines, and still that is because Apple is testing in deploying Nvidia cards, replacing some AMD ones for end-user. It is also because they added an additional Retina-display support to it.

My advice: wait until the RTM. :P
Apple is doing a lot of changes recently, so you wouldn't like upgrading each Developer Preview. Upgrading a beta to a beta can make some settings break (usually it works, though).

I hope they give you the option to switch back to the old dock theme, oh well... If they don't someone will code it to where you can I guess.
