I'm dualbooting Windows 8 RP off a virtual disk on my computer, and haven't had any problems since a day after release to, well, a few hours ago. I tried to connect to Betaarchive FTP and immediately got a BSOD. The computer just gets a BSOD when you try to connect to any FTP using FileZilla, haven't been able to get the error code yet (it flashes quite quickly and in low resolution, so its hard to read). But what do you think could cause it? Dualbooting of virtualdisk? Windows 8? I never had problems connecting to FTP with Windows 7 on my real harddrive, just now in Windows 8.

Works fine for me. Check the event viewer to see what the BSOD error was.

Event log shows a critical error; "Kernel Power":
Quote:
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

Not very helpful. Also, it has an error afterwards that it couldn't create a crash dump due to the small amount of free space on my virtual disk. And another one telling me that
Quote:
The previous system shutdown at 12:44:09 PM on ‎12/‎06/‎2012 was unexpected.

Yes. It was unexpected..

Works fine here too

Probably a driver issue

It works fine for me. Try running it in compatibility mode.

A normal socket application won't crash the kernel so easily.. try replace/disable your network adapters or their drivers..

What is the BSOD code? Without it, we can't say anything.
