I'm looking to create a (hopefully) simple application for the iPhone

The only thing I want to do is flip the operating system as if it's a mirror. Preferably it would be something in the background.

Set up for a good cause, naturally.

Thanks,
~Jimmy.

Why do you want to flip the screen? And that would probably need a jailbreaked Iphone, and fairly complex code.

If you want upside down, easy, there's even an API for that. But mirroring... probably requires complex coding in chain with MobileSubstrate.

Either way, you would need to be jailbroken.

Well, I know someone who has Mirror Dyslexia. Having that, apparently they view words and such as if they were looking through a mirror

The idea is that something like reading off her iPhone, or viewing websites (Which often confuse this person) would be a lot more ideal for leisure time if it was mirrored.

I'm sure this might be a rare symptom, but as sure of that as there must be other cases of this.
I think this app would be amazingly useful to people in such cases.

I would enjoy having this app free on the App store, but as I'm wholley Android, I don't know if this is possible.

Any information is welcome :b

I don't pick favorites.
Well, that sounds really nice of you to do that for that person. Hope you figure it out; I can't program myself out of a wet paper sack.

I know in CSS and HTML this would be fairly simple. I'm assuming this is not the case in C?

Were talking about mirroring the iPhone screen...

And I don't think people with minor dyslexia find a mirrored screen any better than a normal screen (but I don't know anyone with that any-more, so I don't know).

Yes, people with mirror dyslexia do see words better through a mirror

More severe cases would take a door knob that you see on the left, and would appear to be on the right for them.

The person I'm developing for in particular only sees words backwards. Which, if her phone was used for reading, being it manga or website browsing. It'd be a little easier and more relaxing. As it should be occasionally.
