It can't have escaped anyone's attention that over the past few months "noobish" questions have been drastically on the rise. Let me remind everyone that we are not a general support forum. We have 3 support forums for questions that are related to betas and abandonware but these are not to be used for every little question you have, that's what Google is for.

From now on we're going to be cutting back on these types of questions so don't be surprised if they disappear without warning.

What we will be allowing:
- If it's related to getting betas or abandonware running (with exception to the web/programming forum).
- If it's related to programming/coding of any kind for betas or abandonware.

What we will not be allowing:
- Questions not related to betas or abandonware (with exception to the web/programming forum).
- Questions you have obviously not bothered to research yourself beforehand (we can't do all the work for you).
- "What should I buy" style questions unless it's related to tech for running betas or abandonware.
- General support questions.

This list is only an overview and is not exhaustive. Use your common sense. If there is a better site out there that can help you with your problem, then BetaArchive is not the place to ask that question.

We will remove any topics without warning that do not conform to these rules. There is also a polite reminder at the top of these 3 support forums. If you keep posting topics that are not deemed on-topic for the forum, you will be warned and/or banned.

I find it hard to find support for certain issues on Google. Search engines aren't very specific, and sometimes gives me quite a bunch of unrelated results.

Oh well. What's the best forum for tech support, I always wondered...
