So the jailbreak for the new iPad got released several minutes ago, and I decided to run Windows 95 on it (in an emulator). It actually is pretty fast and booted in a matter of seconds. Here is some screenshots. I also plan to fix the screen resolution, test some beta builds, and try installing NT:

What resolution is that running at? Surely it could be larger.

Not sure. I can't even see. Desk.cpl is too big for it. :P

Looks like it's running in QVGA. I didn't even know that was possible O_O

Imagine you could get these to work on the iPad's native 2048x1536 resolution - that'd be a sight for sore eyes. :P

QVGA on 95? That's nothing. I got the Win8 CP to run on 320x200.

Yeah, the pic is several weeks old. No, it wasn't usable. At all. But 320x* resolutions should be possible on most graphics devices, even if they're not available by default, you can enable them with external tools.
On Topic: Neat. Out of curiosity, do you know what kind of CPU does the emulator you're using emulate?

With a 19" monitor, I accidentally set the screen resolution to 320x200. For some reason, my cursor couldn't go to the bottom of the screen,
Eventually, I restarted Windows in 640x480 mode.

It's DosPAD, which is basically rebranded DosBOX.

Why aren't you using Bochs?

If you install your own OS, then dosbox does only limited emulation of newer hardware but is very compatible with old.
The inbuilt dos doesnt support share.exe

You might wanna install SVGA or S3 drivers for it. I'm quite certain there's a way around using desk.cpl
