BTW, the PC Player CD # 8/95 says it's got a playable version of Stonekeep. Is that so? I don't think there's a playable demo of that game on the net anywhere, only a non-interactive slideshow.
It only says "Awesome Preview: Stonekeep" And it's not a slideshow, it's a trailer ^_^

Sorry for bumping the thread again, but I made an index file for the CDs. The link is in my signature. I will sometimes update the index, so I gave it a version number (currently 1.00). To view it, you'll need "Where is it?" (trial version only has limitations for ripping, not for viewing). If a CD is in the index, but not on zippyshare, post here and I'll upload it as soon as possible.

This is really awesome, thanks a lot! ^_^
BTW, I've noticed one of your CDs mentions a demo of Empire Earth: The Art of Conquest. I didn't know there was a demo of the add-on, is that a local (non-worldwide) demo? Or an exclusive demo release?

Code:
EMPIRE EARTH: ARt of Conquest Public Beta Version 1.0 Readme File 09/01/02
EDIT: The index will be updated tomorrow. I'm also thinking about adding the polish CDs and maybe the french catalog. Also the slovacian CDs could be added to slowly create a comprehensive index. I'll ask a guy from onlinegamesdatenbank, if he can rip his CDs, too and maybe I can find people on kultboy that are willing to help. I'll probably ask on retromags, too and add the magazine CDs from archive.org.
So within the next weeks, we will easily reach 1200 CDs in the index (of which we can access maybe 1000 and the rest must be manually requested from the owners).

Have you perchance encountered any playable demo versions of Descent to Undermountain? I've found an exclusive pre-release demo on a Russian website, which seems to come from a spring 1997 issue of Computer Gaming World Magazine (the files on that site have been repackaged in WinRAR by site admins, so the original file package, if there were any, is not preserved). The readme also mentions that another, public demo was on the way, and I did a bit of Googling for that, yet with no results so far.

I haven't had the time to look through your CD contents master list, do you have any individual game demo disks? I'm certain the early two-level demo of Alien Trilogy we were taking about some time ago originally was distributed on a separate CD (maybe as an OEM exclusive), and I also suspect that the demo version of Eradicator also had a CD release (I remember this being mentioned in the readme somewhere), complete with music and possibly the animated intro.
Would be fun to find those, even though such single game CD demo releases apparently are more rare than other types of demo CDs.

I just wanted to say a big big thanks for collecting and uploading all those CDs! Some real gems on those
Gern geschehen Hast du auch noch irgendwelche CDs, die man dazutun könnte? Reicht auch wenn du se in den index reinliest, muss ja nich immer gleich n voller upload sein^^
You're welcome Do you have CDs yourself, that you could contribute? Adding them to the index would be enough, we don't need the full upload for now.
PS: The CDs are slowly fading, so there might be empty folders. When someone needs files from these, write a PM or post here, so I know what CDs I have to reup.

CBS is not very interesting They started with 12/99 (which I have three times) and only had regular demos and always full versions. I have a lot of CBS myself, so unluckily we don't need them for the index or anything else

I decided to accept CBS for the index, too. I already added mine. I'll send you all the things you'll need via PM.
I also added all CGW CDs from archive.org and will add pcgamer, etc. when CBS is done.
EDIT: A friend of mine told me that he went to a lot of trade shows in the 90s and still has a pile of rare Demo CDs that were given to visitors. He will also give me his old magazine CDs.
EDIT2: I managed to get another pile of CDs (~40 Power Play, ~15 Pc Games, some misc ones), that will arrive within the next 2 weeks.

Demo: Worms Forts Under Seige Half Life 2 E3 Team Fortress Classic CD
or maybe the year 1996?
Naming the magazines and issue would be great oO
I can't remember what CD had the Worms Demo... please tell me. Half Life 2 E3 is GameStar 07/03 Ab 16 DVD (No upload, because it's too new) Team Fortress Classic is PC Games 5/99 Bonus. I will upload this CD now.
Year 1996 of what? PC Player? PC Action? Coming soon
