Hmm? The FTP's server's MOTD was "Welcome to the Microsoft FTP server, please visit microsoft.com blah blah blah" up to the last second. No sign of an impeding closure. Not sure about the readmes but I didn't see anything there either.

True. Actually funny now i think, right after MYCOMPUTERHELP Downloaded everything from it, they might of shut it down by the time 3155ffGd did. Hmmmm...

I don't see what I've done.
also: i found an account that worked

Really? The readme in google cache doesn't meantion it...

Tried to send an email to ftp@microsoft.com, but got an error, so I guess its gone forever. Or until they reopen the FTP.

Well well, looks like it's back up (even if a tad slow). Question is how long it will stay like that.

I have mirrored the server. It's about 70 GB. I deleted MS Defender virus definitions - about 20 GB. /Services/whql is 25 GB of drivers, most people can also skip this.

Looks like MS take it down for a while, at when DeFacto and PeterPanPirate tried to connect. Now it's back

It would be for maintainance.
