- Apple TV - A next generation Apple TV based on iOS, priced at only $99, as well as support for Apps. - iPod Touch - Backside camera, mic, new shape, front facing camera, possible 3G and even a Retina display. - iPod Nano - Smaller, square shaped design with a 3cm x 3cm touch screen. Case manufacturers have already been producing covers for the unannounced device (see above). - Other updates to iTunes including TV show rentals and longer song previews.
Speculation
Meanwhile, here's a collection of fun speculative content that we can't verify, but in the run up to the event may inspire some interesting discussion:
- iPad 4.0? - We expect Apple will announce their plans for the deployment of iOS 4 for the iPad during the event. It's unlikely Apple will be able to launch tomorrow as Apple still needs developers to update their apps. So, hopefully we'll get a roadmap and a developer beta of iOS 4 for iPad. - 2.8" iPod touch? iLounge suggests that perhaps we will see the long rumored 2.8" iPod touch emerge to fill the gap left by the former iPod nano. - iPhone as Apple TV Remote? iLounge's Charles Starrett speculates that the rumored $99 Apple TV might actually require an iOS device to serve as a remote. Beyond his speculation, we'd actually heard unconfirmed whispers of the same, so it seems within the realm of possibility. - iLife Mystery App is a Make Your Own App Tool? Rumors of iLife '11 suggested a brand new app would be introduced with the iLife '11 suite. We've heard an unconfirmed whispers that the new app could actually be a way for end users to create simple apps and deploy them directly (not through the App Store) to their iOS devices. Is Apple returning to their Hypercard roots? It's hard to say how feasible this would be.
This is my opinion only, I don't know how feasible they are, I know they're only rumours:
The ridiculous ones:
Apple TV- nice to see a revamp, but why iOS? Mac OS is a much better choice for this, as are the Intel CPUs. iPod touch- All good but 3G is removing the point of it. It's just a pocket sized iPad now. If they're putting 3G in it they may as well just discontinue it and sell people iPhones instead iPod nano- A touch screen? It's just a small iPod touch, the Click Wheel is cool, that's what makes a 'real' iPod an iPod. iPhone as Apple TV remote- WHAT?!? This makes the $99 price point pointless, because you have to pay an extra at least $99 for the remote. Maybe just add the capability in an app, but perhaps include a traditional remote as well. 2.8" iPod touch- More ridiculous products that have no real purpose.
The sensible ones:
iPad 4.0- Good, a form of multitasking at last, more like a 'computer' if you shell out more to get a USB adaptor that can be used when jailbroken. iLife mystery app- Cool idea, iPhone [and Mac] development is horrible, Apple make it so ridiculously complicated to write iPhone code.
That's my opinion on these rumours, I just think Apple are somewhat going mad since the iPhone became a huge success. Apple, go back to 2007, when you made good computers and you weren't ridiculed by such people as myself, I used to be an Apple 'fan', but now I'm a bit sceptical of their products.

I dunno, I hope they do announce an improvement to the iPod touch with a retina display, I saw an iPhone 4 yesterday on a display, and the difference on the screen is actually quite visible even without looking too close

It's visible, but just a gimmick really. It looks good but brings no actual advantage, being the same size and double the resolution. TBH I wasn't that impressed with the iPhone 4; there was nothing special that I saw when I used it, compared to the 3GS. It is, however, a big improvement over the iPhone 2G and 3G, and IMO it's what the original iPhone, maybe the 3G, should have been.

Apple use similar products internally. The iMoney machine is the iPad and iPhone factory.
Obviously, Apple's trying to hide their internal devices (see:iPhone4) by making the seekrit devices look benign. Man, that Apple sweatshop looks EXACTLY like that chiPad sweatshop!
Gizmodo, Engadget, can you try to get a drunk employee to let us see the internals?

What I can say so far:
iOS ATV... not sure. Remote is normal. New nano's actually cool. iPod touch... meh, don't care. WANT THE NANO. Buttons again on the Shuffle! iPad 4.2... printing, multitasking. The iPad is officially just expensive now. Not crap. Etc...

Well aside from fun rumors apple will be sending out invites for there march 7th event for the ipad hd or ipad 3 launch. From what my sources can tell me regarding this get ready for media frenzy as the ifans will likely go crazy. Me also thinks it will be a remake with the same cpu so its like ipad 2S but a bit bigger display call it 10 inch.

Physically, the purported iPad 3 display is the same size as the current iPad 1 and iPad 2 display at 9.7" in diagonal, and looks quite similar to the naked eye.

I don't get my information from there man as its simpler just to ask around from the sources I already have.
Its going to be a slight upgrade in hardware both camera and defiantly resolution wise but 4G is a maybe am not optimistic since it takes apple forever to get anything right because of battery life.
And just because everyone says something doesn't make them all right

True, Macrumors in the past did state right up until the day it was announced that it was highly likely the iPhone 5 was being announced in October last year.

If it was closer to valentines day I'd crack a joke but I'd probably be called sexist.
I do wish though that Apple would stop under-clocking there stuff but ya got to have that great battery power. I want a 2.1 Ghz phone not an apple wimp.
The ipad 3 will cost the same as the ipad 2
PS I know that speed is possible lol

Personally I'd go more for a september launch of iPhone 5. Also if it's anything to go by it might just be called "The new iPhone" That's just my two cents.
