Hi. I want to know 2 spec of laptop and their date. First I want to know what is the oldest laptop with 4 MB Graphic card. As far as I searched, I found that 2 laptop, I know only that is from 1997:

Quote:
Toshiba Tecra 540CDT
Toshiba Tecra 750CDT

Second type of laptop what I looking is oldest one with 1024x768 resolution (on laptop screen display). As far as I found is IBM ThinkPad 760E (1996 May). But of course I can be wrong with both type of laptop, maybe there are one oldest with those criteria. I want to know that info, because I making collection of laptop for some their spec etc. If you know any oldest one, please me know in this thread :) THX all in advance.

Compaq LTE 5400 schould meet your needs but I have to check the video card... although I think it's shared video memory... non-shared video memory was very uncommon in that time.

EDIT: the Compaq LTE 5000 I have next to me has 1MB video memory acording to the BIOS...

EDIT 2: quote from the technical reference... (first edition of this reference is "Sept. 1995"... So the LTE 5000 series was introduced in late 1995)
Quote:
The computer has 1 MB of video DRAM soldered to the system board. There
is no provision for adding additional video memory.

So it's non-shared video memory....

You could also check some early Compaq Armada models

The Technical reference for the Compaq LTE 5000 series

Will see if I can find it for the early Compaq Armada series...

EDIT: The Compaq Armada 1750 seems to meet both your specs...

So... basically you want two laptops?

Well than you have both Compaq models...

The Compaq LTE 5400 is the oldest which supports 1024x768
TheCompaq Armada 1750 is the oldest (I know) which has 4MB video memory

Or do I still not understand you?

But I think version from 1995 got 800x600 screen, version from 1996 got 1024x768 screen so it looks that this one is oldest but about graphic card for this moment is toshiba.

The only problem with the LTE is that the CD Drive in the multi-bay isn't bootable. You either need the dock or floppy drive, both of which are rare. Aside from this, they are built very well!
