Forum rules


Please read the following rules before posting a download request in this area:

1. Don't post a request if you have under 10 posts as stated on the front page. If you do anyway, it will be deleted without further notice. This also applies to other members: If you see a request by someone with less than 10 posts and it hasn't been deleted yet, please don't reply to it.
2. Don't request for warez or any copyrighted software. Only betas (no matter how old or new) and finals of operating systems and applications that are at least 10 years old and therefore classified as abandonware are allowed to be uploaded to and shared on the BetaArchive FTP server.
3. If you have your own FTP server where you'd like other members to upload what you're looking for to, please don't post its login details in any open forum as that will probably lead to abuse. Post the login details in the Private Servers section instead.
4. Check that we don't already have the file on our FTP servers. If you don't have access to the FTP servers then ask someone who has (a moderator for example).

Anyone have LynxOS cd,floppy,tape images - for x86,ppc or m68k?
I have 3.0/x86 so if you are interested I can upload it too. :)

using upload account in BA ftp is not able to download anything before FTP admin qualified the uploads and move it to downloadable location.
This period may as long as a month :beta:
So I want a private upload from you ;)

But the ISO seems unbootable?

EDIT: Oh Rock Ridge ISO, I have to dig out IsoBuster to extract tar_images\5103.boot_floppy.image and tar_images\5104.util_floppy.image, dig out a Pentium 133MHz machine, a 1620MB HDD, and 2 floppies for trying it. Thanks ATAPI I can use CD-RW disc and writer for CD part. Hopefully I can P2V it later.

for 3.0/x86, I can install it on real machine, but it seems that its TCP/IP stack is somewhat broken/non-standard, even SLIP can't make two machines connecting, NE2000 compatible cards aren't compatible with LynxOS driver (netstat -rn don't even show MAC address), AMD PCNET driver also seems to be not compatible with VMWare/QEMU implementation.

Network drivers are very limited with this version. But something strange happened while getting the tape images from the QIC tape with dd - it produces image only - 2MB :|

i have a little troble about lynxos 3.0.1, my hard disk die and i dont have boot floppy, i have a utilities floppy and system cd im glad to share if anyone have a boot image

i have a sunos 5 sdk and bluecat demo too.

You should have these in CD:
tar_images\5103.boot_floppy.image
tar_images\5104.util_floppy.image

Is it 3.0.1, not 3.0.0 that wbyte uploaded? If so please upload it :mrgreen:

nope in tar_images/5600.devos.tar.gz is only file i untarit but floppy image does not exist...

in /sys/romkit/installation have a makefile but i have no idea how compile a boot...

pleaese helpme whit boot file, im uploading the iso now ;)
