Here's a small operating system I made a few years ago... It's a small OS based on Windows 3.11, along with MS-DOS 7, Calmira and Mask98 for the "Windows 95" look. Supports also FAT32.
The Archive includes a bootable CD image, along with a floppy image in case the computer doesn't support CD booting. Also has a "Live CD" option, making it able to start from RAM.
There's also a version designed for the Sony PSP here:
1.0 beta Version: First features: -Calmira FR -Win32s -MS Video -Winfile's update for 2000 -The € symbol -All3D -CD-ROM support
1.0 stable Version: -Corrected some bugs -Added Mask98 -Improved install program
2.0 Version: -Added USB support -NTFS support -Added Live-CD support -Some other bugs fixed -The install program now uses a GUI -The CD now contains Win3.11 files for installing other drivers
2.5 Version: -Modified IO.SYS -New background, bootscreen and banner -Improved Mask98 -Added some other MS-DOS files -Now possible to shutdown and restart the computer when exiting Windows (only on ACPI compatible computers)
3.0 Version: -Updated from MS-DOS 6.22 to 7 -Added FAT32 support -The directory structure of the hard drive has been reorganized -Possibility to enable/disable USB -Mostly all the drivers are loaded in the extended memory
3.5 Version: -Translated to English -Fixed other bugs (files missing) To-do: -Extensions CD -3.5 French version
Hope it'll help any person who needs a small but powerful OS for an old computer

Looks nice/interesting. I would like to see an English version.

You'll need a custom firmware for the PSP version to run
Yes, I know... no problem, I have it! Anyway, I have also downloaded the qemu version and tried it on my android mobile phone... is super fast! the only little issue I have is that I cannot use the any cd-rom image. If anyone is interested on how to run windows images on android let me know, I'll post a guide

Already made it on an iPhone pretty cool, but pretty slow too...

nope, on android with my Motorola Milestone2 (european version of the Droid 2) with 1.0 Ghz and 512Mb of ram runs very well... it's like it was on a real pentium machine.. By the way, I used bochs to run it, not qemu and don't know if someone compiled bochs for iphone.
Off Topic: I also tried Win xp with a super super resized installation, but takes about 5 minutes to boot and is very laggy and unusable, windows 98 works but it's slow too (after installing office 2000 became visibly laggy)... on the other hand, windows 95 runs great! I created an 1.5 Gb image for it (and also gave access to one folder onto sd card) and I installed ms office and some other software, it's laggy when I play games, for the rest is good and your version appears to be even faster altought I didn't have much time these days to use this...

Okay, I just finished the English version, now the only thing I've got to do is to pack everything in my installation program... Hopefully it'll be available for download by the end of the weekend

I think it would be cool to multi-boot Windows 95, Windows 96 (if it exists), Windows 97, Windows 98, Windows 99 (Neptune anyone), and Windows 2000. But this looks amazing.

I wouldn't install it on DosBox... It's very tricky to make it run on this emulator... However VPC, Vmware, Virtualbox, qemu and Bochs should work fine
