Hello All,

Everytime I want to create / move a folder I get the same error even after a fresh install:

"Screenshot in Dutch"
http://i.imgur.com/BWeiG.png

I got 2 Disks in my Laptop:
1) SSD Vertex 2
2) WD Caviar Black
The problem occurs on both of them:

I did the following things to make the SSD work beter:

- Disabled Services: http://i.imgur.com/M2Mad.png

- Disable Indexing: http://lh3.ggpht.com/_2vhJAPm7CgU/SuquyJ-wJoI/AAAAAAAAEKg/gxn13yOgG3s/Indexing%20x.jpg --> Only on SSD

- Disable defragmentation Service & Schedule

- Disable Superfetch: http://lh5.ggpht.com/_2vhJAPm7CgU/Ss5ghTtxMcI/AAAAAAAAEB0/PEh-A1lg1Kw/Superfetch%20x.jpg

- Disable Prefetch: http://lh4.ggpht.com/_2vhJAPm7CgU/Ss5ggLOd3mI/AAAAAAAAEBw/arw3TzzgTi8/Prefetch%20x.jpg

- TRIM is enabled

Thanks to anyone who can Help!

Translation *of the screenshot*, please? Never mind.
What version of Windows 7 are you using? (RTM or SP1)?

Did you have that problem before? Try to delete all partitions, convert the disks to GPT, and then create them again.

Yes I had this problem before, why convert to GPT? The SSD isn't partioned but the other disk is. I saw something about GPT or MBR with the seconds disk when I initialised it?

Greetz!

This Solution Helped For Now(Not Mine)

I finally got it.

I used the same solution for the similar issue in Windows Vista. Once i got to my company laptop, i exported this 2 registry keys.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FolderDescriptions

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\FolderDescriptions

Merged into my pc and voilà !!

The 'shell' command also works again (ex: shell: personal brings up the account folder)

I uploaded the reg file and you can get it here http://cid-fb5a28bc4a1cc9b6.skydrive...scriptions.rar

This is for Windows 7 x64. Use it at your own risk.

SSDs nowadays have 4 KB physical sector size as far as I know, and only GPT supports it correctly. I may be wrong, but if you haven't fixed it, it'd be worth trying.
