Lately there's been an increase of pointless and sourceless news topics being posted on BetaArchive. Much of the stuff was better meant for the Microsoft Operating Systems section, and most of it was not meant for BetaArchive at all.
From now on news posters are to post only beta and abandonware-related news. If there are some directly related news then it can go up on the forum as well. Everything else will be purged from the forum, including old news posts that doesn't fit.
And as usual, any news must be referenced with a source, otherwise it will be removed as well. Rioter previously made a post about this but it seems a lot of posters has been ignoring this. Read my stuff above and Rioters post before you even attempt to make a news post.
For the rest of you, if you want to read other tech news etc there are far better sites for that, Tom's Hardware, AnandTech, TechSpot, Slashdot and many many more. Go there if you want your share of non-beta, non-abandonware and unrelated tech news.

I agree, Shoudn't News category be Mods and Admins only? If someone wants to announce something, they can just...Say to you or someone else who has the ability.
