I sill have no idea about setting the bios time offset in Oracle VirtualBox after reading the information on Microsoft Collection Book.
When I tried the command, it said cannot find the virtual machine.

Try VPC2007, or VMWare 7 or 8.

Try using this tool. It was built by users on this very forum, so if you have issues with it you can just post a thread for help.

Thank you. By the way, why the setup screen gets so small that you can't see on VirtualBox?

....I actually don't know. I've never had that problem. It usually shrinks to either 800x600 or 1024x768 for me, whichever is the OS's default. What OS are you trying to install?

Longhorn 3718. It gets so small like 280x180 (not even a standard format) and it has a lot of screens.

Wow. I have no idea. I'd say check the MCB, but I guess you already checked there. It could be a compatibility error, since VBox uses a custom video driver for the guest machine. It may not work well with 3718.

Oracle VirtualBox tends to have video adapter issues. Here's a screenshot of Windows NT 4 Terminal Server in VirtualBox; I'm pretty sure I didn't even install a video driver in the VM...

Try using VMWare Player for your Longhorn needs.

You could always download the VirtualBox source code and write a new graphics adapter to emulate. Then there's upgrading to VMWare Player. Other than those two options, I don't think there's a way to fix this.

Is VMWare Player the same as VMWare Workstation?

Sort of. It's a cut-down version of VMWare Workstation that only lets you run one virtual machine at a time. There are probably other minor differences that I don't know. Oh yeah, and VMWare Player is free.

Most likely because these betas come with an old, out-of-date and impossible to upgrade version of Windows Installer. However, all is not lost. If you use Hounsell's Driver Kit, you will be able to install all of the drivers VMWare Tools would normally install. Not sure if it'll install mouse integration or drag-n-drop filesharing though; I've never tried with the driver kit.
Download it here: http://www.microsoftcollectionbook.com/ ... s/hounsell

So I could not download a retail or final version of Windows Installer than install VMware Tools?

No. To put it simply, retail Windows Installer (currently v4.5 IIRC) isn't compatible with those betas. They're too old, basically, and I don't even know if they're compatible in terms of programming.

You're right. The Longhorn VM says "Not enough storage to process command line options."
