are there any display drivers that work on current x86 emulators? I found a Video7 one, but it is not compatible on current emulators.

Well you asked for drivers for Windows 2.x. Windows/386 2.x is still version 2.x, you need to be more specific.

Either way, finding drivers for this OS is VERY hard if even possible. Back then video cards etc were machine-specific so if anything had to work you needed either a special OEM version of the OS or rely on the built in support.

And VMs today uses special drivers, VMWare uses its own driver model (so forget any special drivers for Windows 2.x), VirtualPC (and DOSBox) emulates an S3 864 chip (if I am not mistaken), not sure what Parallells or Bochs use since I don't use these very often.

S3 cards which most emulators emulate were sold about 1993, so no one bothered to write Win 2.0 drivers for them. But the PVGA chip is emulated in DOSBox and you can run Windows 2.0 in hi-res on it:

when I run Windows 386 with win386.exe the mouse doesn't work and when executing command.com within Windows screws up Windows (on DOSBox) and the emulator itself.

Seemed that worked. However Coreldraw 1.1 or Windows is still not completely working with higher color bitmaps..
