I doubt this will have the level of realism as X-Plane 9…
The screenshots look realistic: (more screens and video's at http://www.microsoft.com/games/flight/ and Flight simulator X looked good, but X-Plane is unbeatable in realism.

Yeah. Those Terms of Use make it sound like they're developing nuclear missile control systems or something. Wonder what's in there that's so "revolutionary" they're that worried about it.

If I get accepted I'll upload whatever the heck I get to BA, however as my name isn't Steven Sinofski, no guarantees of being able to get it in the first place.

Heh, I found that TOS quite interesting when I signed up. I suppose I should now declare I will not be leaking (just in case Microsoft is spying on me).

of course, but I think the leak would be unplayable since you have to give your games for windows live account in the survey so no one else can use the beta

Would this mean I will not be able to play this offline?

I think you will be able to play the retail game offline, I was only talking about the beta.

I'm sure somebody will figure out a way around the Games for Windows login requirement. Besides, some people just want betas so they can poke through the files.

Do not [...] or watch you play the beta software.
So... am I supposed to lock myself in the darkest and remotest room of my basement when I want to play ? And what if <shock!> someone eventually passes by and probably was in range of my screen... what does MS's legal team recommend ? Should I tie him/her up until the NDA expires ? Or am I allowed to use lethal force in the name of this agreement ?
What a bunch of crap... Open betas are by their nature made up of people with veeery different backgrounds, conditions, etc so enforcing such strict rules is ... shall we say, inefficient.

Calm down, if someone passes just hide the screen real fast. They won't see too much hopefully.
Do these Betas usually have such strict restrictions? Or is this new Microsoft Flight team just a bit worried they're product won't be up to the standards.

Graphis is really cool what I see on screenshot's but always they make more beautiful than in real. That was same with Age of Empires III, water looks very cool but when I got game then it's not look cool like on official screenshots.
