Unproductive post is unproductive but I can't help it : One of these days I'm gonna' strangle someone ! Aparently Google thinks that changing things on a whim and doing it frequently makes them look all innovative and professional... yeah right.

I like it, it looks like they're trying to make it a little more android-y. I think the reason its a little more compact is for better viewing on tablets. Anyone had a look on, say, an iPad?

Every time Youtube redesigns their site people complain. Granted they've had some bad redesigns in the past, but I actually like this one. It feels more like a mobile app store layout.
As long as my Greasemonkey script still work, which they do I'm fine. I have a script downloaded to force 240p which is nice on slower connections. By default Youtube will do 360p and then if you switch to full screen it switches to 480p and you lose all of your buffer. That is a change I didn't like, luckily Greasemonkey has a fix.

Wow, this is... Terrible, what's the point in changing the design every 5 months? Its [censored] me off, you get used to one design and then its changed a few months later, [censored]!
Before, my home page was set to JUST show subscriptions, and the only thing that mattered to me was subscriptions and my inbox status, now its all crammed into this useless panel system, and "Recommendations", the most useless thing in the world, is taking up a quarter of the screen!
I sent a strongly worded letter to Google through the "Feedback" system, it may not do much, but I recommend you do it to if you oppose the design like me.

I have to say I kinda like the new design, it'll take a little while to get used to but thinking about it it might make it much easier to keep an eye on my subscriptions.

It doesn't work properly in my IE6 anymore... what a shame.
They stopped supporting IE6 a while ago. I hope you aren't using it as your actual browser. The new design still renders mostly correct in Firefox 2 and still allows Flash Player 7 (hacked to report its version # as 8), which means my Windows 95 VM can still surf Youtube.

I just noticed something remarkable. Some videos in the new Youtube use HTML5 instead of Flash. As a side effect, my Safari for Windows (the latest version) refuses to play them, lol.

I've noticed the new video player, you can speed some vidos up, and slow them down. Makes for a fair bit of fun

I actually quite like the new interface. First, the grey color is much easier on the eyes than the stark white fields of the previous design. Second, the navigation now makes a little more sense to me. Personally, I hope they stay with this design for a while.
