Well last night when I check YouTube on my laptop YouTube has a new design. It was Cosmic Panda-ish (well I don't join the trial). But today when I check it again on my computer, it is the old one now. Weird. Is YouTube planning to change the old design to a new one or YouTube was testing for a new theme?

I haven't noticed a change. Where are you accessing Youtube from? (Was it changed say in America for 11.11.11?)

I'm accessing YouTube from Indonesia (that's where I live).

Cool, but it was only for that one day in Indonesia on 11.11.11?

No, I checked yesterday the design was intact. The website is youtube.com/guide (my laptop) but I check it on my computer it was nothing (blank screen).

Interesting, youtube.com/guide just gives me a blank page... Not even 404.

Personally, I think the new one looks nice. Although, I liked the old one because it didn't have quite as much polish and I really don't like all of the polish because it slows things down. Decent to look at though.

I like the look of the new design, but not the ease of use and ability to find things like the old one. In the old one the uploader told you how long it would take to upload a video, which for me is very useful since I don't have a fast internet connection, now it only tells you the %, so I had to revert back to old uploader.
On users channels, I didn't like how you don't see thier videos first like you did in old look, instead you saw their feed which could possibly get you less views on your videos. Also didn't like how you had to click "more" to see users information on their channel such as favourite books or information they put there as some (like me) are serious about what videos they make and post and have information there that explains why the videos are what they are and a bit of info on the person sometimes, without just being able to see it, not so easy to know this if you want to easily find out about them and know if they are good to subscribe to. You can just click the "more information" or whatever its called, but it took me a while to notice that. Not sure if there is a way to have it so your videos appear first and the information is viewable on loading channel page.
Think they also fixed it so that people watching the same videos over and over wouldn't be counted more than once so that only unique views are counted which I feel is a good thing. Whats the point of hundreds of vies if less than half of that would be the same people over and over watching the video?
Either way, I like the old 2010 look. Nice to have good looks, but you need something that is nice to look at, simple to use and you can find what you want or share your channel and videos easily in a way that gets you viewers and subscribers etc... and not saying the new look is bad, but IMO the older one is better at doing these things.

New! A brand new YouTube design designed to make you and your computer crying! With its labyrinthine menus and other stuff that are blacker and darker than whatever that thing is in your basement, and constantly change for additional frustration, we'll make sure that you'll rip out all your hair before bed! And dont forget advertisements! Now ads are 1 full hour long! And the skip button doesn't appear until 10 minutes in!
Oh god.
