Maybe not really fake...
Probably it isn't a leak. Probabily it isn't true.
But you should consider Microsoft probably will follow the same template that in W8: Before - Alpha, microsoft says somethiiiing, but nothing from interest BUILD - Developer Preview CES - Beta MIX - RC Some months after- Release at stores
...not very difficult to invent.

I was going to ask the same question regarding Windows 8 PU, as far as the "PU" acronym stands for (Product Update, most likely).
From what I see, Windows 8 PU is to the original Windows 8 as the various updated releases of certain MS-DOS versions were to the original versions, as Windows 1.02, Windows 1.03, and Windows 1.04 were to Windows 1.01, as Windows 2.01 and Windows 2.03 were to Windows 2.00, as Windows/286 2.11 and Windows/386 2.11 were to Windows/286 2.1 and Windows/386 2.1, as Windows 3.00a was to Windows 3.0, as Windows 3.11 was to Windows 3.1, as Windows for Workgroups 3.11 was to Windows for Workgroups 3.1, as Windows 95 OSR 2.1 and Windows 95 OSR 2.5 were to Windows 95 OSR 2, as Windows 98 Second Edition was to Windows 98, as Windows NT 3.51 was to Windows NT 3.5, as the post-RTM builds of Windows 2000 were to Windows 2000, as the post-RTM builds of Windows XP were to Windows XP (yes, there were post-RTM builds of Windows XP, of which were the client counterparts of at least some of the continuing Whistler Server, later Windows .NET Server, briefly Windows .NET Server 2003, and finally Windows Server 2003 builds, ask air101 about those builds), as Windows Server 2003 R2 was to Windows Server 2003, and even as the post-RTM builds of Windows 7 were to Windows 7, before the continued development of Windows 7 was renamed to Windows 8.
From what I see, Windows 8 PU is yet another post-RTM release of Windows, in this case, of Windows 8 itself, as with the other updated releases of Windows, of which I've mentioned above in comparison to the older counterparts.

Or, it's all complete crap. Microsoft does not plan according to conferences, and they do not plan that far ahead - so many things will have completely changed past the year mark it's pointless trying.

I think that it's fake that the dates were leaked.
They are invented. But they may be true.

I thought it was impossible to predict what Microsoft will do. Anyways they change their minds daily, they don't really plan ahead too much. Who know though, right? This can be true, false, or partly true. The only thing stopping us from finding out is time.
