Do you want to specifically learn 8086 assembly language or x86 in general? If the first, I can't help you, otherwise I recommend the book pcasm  to get you started. I may also want to make your C compiler output assembly (-S switch usually) and read the official intel documentation.

Don't know if it's your question, but if you want to learn programming and make simple programs to run on x86 cpu, you can use VisualBasic.. it's very very easy... Personally I started with it, if you need help, let us know...
