Hi.
I've got a question, that hopefully somebody could help me with. I'm trying to install ms-dos 6 (Korean) onto VMWare (AS vpc2007 can't handle the graphics). I get this screen when trying to install: (since not understanding a word Korean doesn't help)

What exaclty do you mean "VPC can't handle the graphics?"
The screen is double sized horizontally: Making it very difficult

I'd like to help you with that problem. I'm from Korea, which means I can read Korean.
The error is saying that MS-DOS 6 Korean can't be installed on the computer because there is no OS installed already. (Which means) You need to install previous version first, then install your MS-DOS 6 Korean. MSDOS 6 Korean that you have is upgrade version.
Also, about graphic problem. I can't help you with that. On Virtual Machines, early(earlier than 6.2) Korean MSDOS ALWAYS have graphic problems. My friend once solved that problem, but it's very hard to do that. I'm not as good as him.

Thanx Anstein99. Installed MS-DOS 5 and then MS-DOS 6 (Korean) without a hitch.

I've downloaded it from the FTP, does that mean that the one on the FTP is wrongly labelled?

Yeah, Virtual PC has this double-sized screen problem with Korean. At the same time though, VMWare sometimes halts with Japanese DOS'es, though not with always and not with all of them.
And there's a way around the Upgrade problem. Use FDISK and FORMAT to partition and format the hard disk, then when booting the DOS 6 Korean, do SYS C: to transfer the system files and boot sector to C:, then reboot, and install.

This means, MS-DOS can not be installed because it's not a retail version, it is upgrade only. Try to get retail version from somewhere in Korea.( I wonder if I have permission to link that archive)

Read the last post date. And also read the thread; this problem was solved a long time ago.
