I managed to install LH 4074 without the proper BIOS date . I left it 2011!!!

Yes, xImage powered (install from a .WIM) builds from 4074 through 4093 install without the need to set the release BIOS date, but the timebomb is still present.

No, xImage. That was the correct name before pre-reset. After reset, the utility has been renamed to ImageX, but I still love the old name.

That is not correct. It was around vista beta 2 or later, they changed the name from ximage to imagex.

We are talking about Milestones. xImage is, for example, M3-M4-M5-PreBeta-Beta1-Beta2, and ImageX is RC1-RC2-RTM, etc.
There are always differences between different Milestones.

They don't need keys to install, but they do need keys to activate.

To install not, to activate yes. Use Windows 7 Ultimate RTM key for 7989 and Windows 7 Beta Key for 7955/7959/7850.

See, there is a vast difference b/w entering key for installation and key for activation. To activate, I'm afraid you might need a crack. But there's basically no need to activate. Just nullify the timebomb (for the alphas, betas). More keys are found at MCB.

since you can simply freeze it/them
