I am selling my Compaq Armada M300. This is an amazing machine especially for the age. It is around 10-11 years old and runs Windows 2000. However there are drivers for Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT4 and XP on HP's website and these also work perfectly.
Image
(So a good machine for those betas!
600mhz Intel Pentium 3 with speedstep (500mhz in powersave)
4mb ATI Rage LT Pro PCI. Works with 240/360p youtube just!
320mb of ram (Upgraded from 64mb)
20gb hdd (from linuxlove) Also giving away the original 12gb one which works perfectly.
Image
It is a very small machine. Made of metal, not plastic and is in a really good condition. (Like a netbook of 10 years ago.) but with a 12 inch 4:3 screen of 1024x768 making it very usable and better than a netbook. However 10 years ago it cost £2400 with the CD docking bay. The cd drive is a little dodgy, but does work.
It has a USB port on the back along with serial, parallel, Mic and headphone, Infared. All working perfectly.
It has a card bus port and I will chuck in a Wifi 802.11b,g 2wire card which works with Windows 98 onwards.
Image
CD dock with port replication and a Floppy drive which can be taken out and used via parallel cable.
Image
Battery works!!! 1.5hours which is very good! :)
Image
Comes with 2 chargers (dont ask why, it just does!)
Exceptianally thin, thinner than a Macbook at under an inch which for 2000 was very good!
Image
Now I am looking for offers around £35 and of course shipping which will cost around £10 due to the size and the fact i will protect it in a carrying case and bag (Not shown).
Very good machine for general work on your lap, although a bit slow by these standards. Otherwise good for streaming music via spotify or the web or something. Or for those beta's than you know you just want to try.
Or you can pick it up from my house which is located at the end of the metropolitan tube line near London UK

Will you ship overseas?

Offtopic Comment
It would be funny if I bought the laptop from you. Not only do I get that 20GB hard drive back, but I get a neat looking laptop to go with it! :P

I will ship overseas, but note that it will not be at all cheap and i am not responsible for how USPS or Royal mail treat it. And if you want it UPS/Fedex im sure that will be pricy too. I can always check though if your still interested.

Note my pictures do not show the beauty of the matt black metal lid with shiny silver and red compaq amrada logo. it really does look great.

Even closed it is only 0.85 of an inch thick!
It plays need for speed III perfect :P

If you want to run a Chicago build without a VM, your best bet would be to track down a computer that's got a 486 CPU in it, not something as modern as this.

And one of the entire back of the laptop. It is a lovely black matt metal finish. No noticable scratches!

I really want to buy it but the shipping would be very bad to New Zealand.

Does it come with the original cd? And what site will/would we use to buy it? I can't go overseas to pick it up lol (New york) Not sure if I definitely want to buy it since I have a good laptop, but it would be nice for betas, especially at $25. :)
Edit: Euros not american dollars.

I have no original media or box. But will include a copy of XP pro with a key only used for this laptop. has product key sticker for both nt4 and 2000 pro on base.
I will include a driver cd with all the drivers needed for 95, 98, 2000 and XP on it for you. And WiFi drivers.

As to how to buy it, PayPal is best. But i don't mind if you have another way? Id happily look into it. I could put it on eBay if you wanted protection even. but i would let it have an action first.

Wow, looks awesome. I would buy for £30 excluding shipping (epik price :)) but I dunno if I'll be able to buy it unfortunately, especially if it's on PayPal :(

im sure I would take cheque (UK only) or even cash by post as long as I got it before I sent. Or even buying me a few things through amazon or something. Im not too fussy.
I actually think £30 is cheap. £40 I would take!

I don't ever use paypal but ebay would probably be good since it includes a windows xp cd, if you put it up I might buy it! Not sure how we went from £25 to £40, but it's still a good price!

Well sorry but £25 is a little low. I think £35 is definitely doable

I'm not worried about the price, but I probably can't find a use for
it since it's not a pentium 4, I've used a 2.0 ghz P4 with 256nb ram and XP and it was almost unusably slow, so I'm not sure if it would help me :(

A 2ghz p4 should run well with xp. This laptop with 320mb of Ram works well. little slow but not unusable. Windows 2000 is best for it though i will say
