If you wanted praise for your design, you should have made it praiseworthy.
Indeed. Couldn't you see yourself how the idea itself wasn't really an improvement over the current site?

It's not praise he's after. I believe he means the way you expressed your opinions, not the opinions themselves. You were right about that it could use a little more work though

We're not flaming, we were being honest. We'd love to see better designs, but it's hard to look at blatantly terrible ones . If you have good designs, feel free to share them, but keep in mind that people might actually give their honest opinions. If you can't stand that, then too bad.

Flaming is what happened to morganhaiden at one point, and I regret to say I was briefly part of that. I think I went over the top after he started repeatedly posting BS and insults. Well, him being the idiot that he is, he deserved everything he got, including his permanent ban.

I've also exceeded with it. Awfully, I was part of that, I posted junk, BS, [censored] Back on topic : I think BetaArchive V3 will not exist, now. BA's fine actually.

i have a an idea
To give my opinion, move some stuff around, make that Windows logo translucent, tile the blue-white gradient background, move down some of the text (some of it's overlapping as there's some white over some text) and your good to go. Also, Aero Lite on the website navigation would fit the theme better.

I decided to come up with something... Beta Archive is not all about Windows software, so the logo includes Apple's logo + a globe, meaning worldwide community. The site is Metro like, and still conforms to PHPbb 3(what ever that is ).

Now this I like. Someone should make this into a real web style.
Fun fact: BetaArchive v1's logo featured a Windows flag, an Apple and Tux.

I really doubt this is a priority, but it would look nicer if Andy could add a transparent background to the favicon, because it looks strange with the white background.

Ooh, this looks nice. Does feel the same way V2 does, and looks like it would act like it too.

What exactly did BA V1 look like?

Oops, I didn't check that out. Appears to be pretty similar to now. Also, also after seeing the early V2, we might call this version now version 2.1 or 2.5.

If people read the topic made by soulman about new features, they would realize the design isn't a priority for the "new version/V3/whatever"... Even Andy himself said he won't be making a new theme for a while... IIRC, so correct if I'm wrong Andy.
