These are the original and untouched files from the alpha leaked back in 2002. It was leaked by ATI. This alpha feutures 3 maps, and a different intro. I recentry searched some torrent sites to find it but no luck. So I got it off a disk I burned back then, uploaded to RS and givin' it to you

To save you for some trouble, I have uploaded one more .rar witch includes readmes,fixes etc.

The folder when unrared is 1.04GB

ps. Ignore the filename which says Beta. It is the alpha version but I was in a hurry to upload it and messed things up

ps2. I suggest you delete the file DoomConfig from the Base folder so it will make default settings for your specs.

lol, now its not working for me too. My ip is blacklisted on every server :roll:

Oh and btw. HL2 beta isnt on the servers, is it? If its not please ,someone, upload it

totally agree it sucks, but when you are looking for some file, and it is not hosted in any page or active torrent, sometimes it is the only choice

There are 2 versions of the HL2 leak based in the Anon release, a big .rar with some missing files and maps, and a russian compilation of 2 cds with installer, there is almost no differences between the 2 games but the russian one seems to be the best. I will try to upload it in the next days to the SillyProject FTP so you can get it from there

guys I just saw that at the server the file Doom 0.02 Alpha is the Doom 1 and not Doom 3. So if anyone wants to upload my files on the server I will be greatfull. I have scheduled to upload half life 2 beta that's why I can't upload these files at the server now

all those screens are on default quality. to turn on high quality, type "exec highquality.cfg" in the console

The HL2 beta is on the server (ANON i think)
I uploaded the russian (with patches) and loads of compiled maps to rapidshare, if someone wants to upload them to the FTP (Over 10GB i think)

I'm not sure if it'd be considered as a legitimate beta if it has unofficial russian patches, however I think that would be the least of worries.

This is NOT the alpha shown on E3. You can see that, if you look at the different doorcode in the first map.

Nice Setup. 2/11/2004 : DOOM III BETA 2: This version contains all patchs, the DoomConfig, DoomEditor, many new maps, a nice setup and NVidia Drivers 41.09 for GeForce Users (to solve the problem of the grey screen).

As far as I know, Beta 1 and Beta 2 were fakes.

I think it was like the HL2 Russian beta: a patched up version of the original leak.

You're right, that's exactly what it was. It came with some user made maps. There was a mini-mod for the leak, about 2 or 3 maps iirc.

I remember being excited that Trent Reznor was doing the music/sound effects, this has whatever work he had done on it. I'm not sure what happened but they replaced him with someone else and I think dumped all of his work.
