so my sister has an iPod touch and she is constantly streaming video over WiFi on our 786k DSL connection and i have asked her to stop/cut down on her time doing that because it slows to a crawl when she does that. but she doesn't like to listen to people. so i was wondering what i could do on my end to mess around with her connection so she will get the point. I have my laptop ans my wireless router. i don't want to ban her ip or mac address, i just want to screw with her iPods connection and not destroy anything in the process

I know on our Linksys WRT54GS router, there's an Access Restrictions tab that you can set to block websites on some or all PCs via MAC Address or deny PCs Internet access also by MAC Address. Can be set to any day of the week to run for however long you want. You can even set it to block that computer 24/7.

on my router, i have the servers and my pc set to high priority, while my brother is set to low. Which means more bandwidth is available for my servers and stuff then his, which means if i need bandwidth i get it, and he gets slow internet. You get what i mean

My router is a Netgear WNR1000 v2, and unfortunately it does not allow QoS

Whaaaaa? I guess that's a good reason not to buy Netgear.
I guess it's Broadcom so there's always hope that Tomato or DD-WRT will support it. It has 16MB of RAM so you should be able to setup some QoS rules without it crashing.

Your router is listed in the DD-WRT router database, so you can flash and setup some QoS rules.
only v1 and v3 are listed

v1 and v3 are listed as Work in Progress, I tried looking up v2 but all I can find is a thread (mostly bumps) asking for support.
