long story short, I'm on win7sp1 I don't have Telnet on it nor can I get it installed via Programs/Windows Features
so would it be possible to copy whatever files from XP or whatever NT onto my system that it would work ? - and which files (exactly)

We aren't talking about prerelease software. The point I'm trying to make is that there is arguably better, free, simple to use software that you can use.
