Works on Safari Mac fine.

Just a suggestion, probably something to put at the footer of the page to not crowd up the top, twitter and stumbleupon or something like that? Why go for the big two (out of three), when smaller but populated services help.

Just saying.

I do agree, but there is plenty more space for a few other sites to the right of the navigation.

If they're at the bottom, nobody will see them. Simple.

You mean nobody would care to see them?

How many times have you gone down the page as far as the last post? Personally I never do it. I have no need to. If it's not in the immediately visible area people will not see them and they will not click them, defeating the point of it altogether.

Anyway, the location is temporary until I find somewhere more suitable for it.

Personally, I think it's fine as it is.

If they're at the top, they're obtrusive and ugly.

if they're at the bottom, ok so not everyone will see it, but it will catch your eye. Not directly at the bottom, but say the end of the posts bit. In the end, at least they are there

Again, you're missing the point of them even being there. They're supposed to be highly visible otherwise there is no point having them. They're not obtrusive though, ugly perhaps.

why not put them on either of green spots
its less intrusive and not so out of place

Good suggestion, I'll have a play about and see if it works.

I agree with the green spot to the right.
I don't know why, but I seem to focus more on the right side of the monitors - dual 23" Samsungs.

OK let's try another route, use something like this: http://www.addthis.com/?r=0

Best of both worlds, not ugly, and customizable.

And yeah, obtrusive wasn't the right word. And I did not mean remove the top twitter/fb ones instead of the bottom share links. I meant use both. Either way, the addthis idea is better

Either of the top two choices looks good to me - on the right of the screen.

I think it would be better to put these social buttons in the left green box, since that's right next to the site's name.
