I've been compiling stuff and expirmanting for the past 2 days, and within the process, i've somehow managed to lock down / to root. I just now found that out when i tried to drag a file in Finder and it wanted me to authenticate.

Now for the problem, does that only happen when dragging something from and to
/ itself or in every folder? What do the volume properties say in Ownership and Permissions? Mine:

Boot up a linux, reset your permissions.

I store shell scripts, git downloads, and hg downloads in a folder within /

I know how to fix the premissions, but I don't wanna do so until i finish some [censored] i'm working on.
