AMSDOS with Locomotive BASIC - my first computer was an Amstrad 6128+ CPC - that takes me back, trying to program BASIC line by line. This was before true computer animations on home PCs...the animations you could code with BASIC were basically done by changing the colour of the ink specified on the screen to make something appear as if it was moving, that was annoying and time consuming.

Windows ME (obviously got used to get BSOD all of sudden).

I think it was Windows XP.

First: Windows 95, Second: Windows 98 for a long time... Third(2006): Windows XP for a long time too... Fourth(2010): Windows 7 and... Fifth(2011): Windows 8

The first OS i used was NT 4.0. The second one was Windows 98..
Sigh.. I miss them..

Dos 6 on a computer with 32 mb of ram. I was 8 or 9 years old. Now I use Windows 7 RTM and Windows 8 7850.

Windows 3.1... to use Paint and to play a demo of Doom... that came on a floppy disc...

Windows 95 was when I actually started to get into it... back with 28k internet, awesome !

Do you still having that floppy disk? Or the files inside it?

Apple System 6. Then Windows 95 after the school ditched the Mac's.

That would be the Navigator, good sir. I, too, had a Packard-Bell that I got in 1992. 72mhz, 8mb ram, less than 1GB hdd. good stuff..

Windows 98 Second Edition was my first OS.
Year 1999

I started using Windows 3.1 and Mac OS System 5 at the same time (divorced parents, different computers).

My first OS was Windows ME at my Grandpa's computer... I experienced it as pretty stable OS. That was about 2002 or so (I was 6 that time)

My first was a crappy Windows ME. I hated it. I never understood when you would run a setup off a CD and ejected it, a BSOD would appear. LOL! Then i got a crappy Dell Dimension e310 (XP) with 512 MB which was way too slooooooowwwww.

The very first I used was RISC OS ahhh Acorn computers =p.

The first OS i used was Windows 98 SE I think. The first OS i actually remember well is Windows XP Professional.
