Hey BetaArchive.com, I have found out this transformation pack to make Windows 7 x86 and x64 to look like Windows 8! The download link is below:

You can uninstall this in: Control Panel--->Programs and Features----> 8 Skin Pack

Heres a quick screenshot, btw the X, _ and double squares turn the color that they are meant to be when you hover your mouse on them.



Changes shown in the screenshot:
*New close, minimize and double square buttons
*new sharper outline of the window
*Windows 8 Ultimate in the About Windows
*new start button

Am I missing something here?

It's quite simple. If you want to run Windows 8, then install it. If you don't stick with Windows 7.

Customising for customising sakes is pointless.

haha we're quoting like a lot... anyway, Windows 8 is still in Alpha stages, and this is not the exact look of Windows 8, its a better (in my opinion) version

Honestly really, if you do not like the subject about customization just do not post about it and move along to the rest of your day. Some opinions saying "It's pointless" even if Windows 8 is in the Alpha stage should be kept to themselves.

It's okay, but I prefer where you do it yourself. These customization packs always seem to slow your computer down.

mines quite fine, the Windows 8 Transformation Pack looks *sexy* haha. makes it look like future technology.

It patches system files, does it keep full backups? I'd rather they give all the files and let me patch them myself.

I've download all the Windows 8 themes. wallpapers and gadgets at the Windows 8 customization site. And switch to a different theme every week.

tried this and failed to boot up coz of some files i replaced, yes i did do the take ownership stuff but not sure what i did wrong.

woulf it work on Vista if you chose NOT to install the modified explorer?

have someone any problems with this Customisation? any bugs or crashed systems?

I'm kind of surprised that I actually like the square Aero effect, but the oversized centered window titles look ugly, I think. Does the breadcrumb bar still function with this installed, since it looks kind of nonexistent from the screenshot?

I think the square aero affect is actually quite nice and the winver is cool too.

Nice transformation pack. The start-menu button looks especially nice.

any chance of getting full DWM to work with windows 7?
