I am searching for a good free webhost. It would be nice if it had an autoinstaller. Any suggestions (or links) would be appreciated.

A quick Google search gave me this. I've used the site before to find free webhosts for my test sites for PHP skills, etc. The best one seems to be this one.

Just be aware that autoinstallers do not always install the newest version of Web software. For example with some ISPs Wordpress can still be installed in version 2.x instead of 3.x.

I always check for updates for everything I install. That's not a problem for me.

Anyway, there's no such thing as "unlimited everything" webhosting. That slogan is a marketing ploy. Hosting companies use it to draw more customers because they know 99% of customers won't use more disk space or generate more traffic than the company's server can handle, and the few that do can have their accounts terminated or suspended (a right often stated in small print site policies).

I wouldn't consider free webhosting for any serious or money-generating project. Saving a few bucks per month is a small advantage compared to the possible risks you face due to server outage, traffic cuts, or simply the company winding up with no warning.

Additional problem is just what happened to asad10: Not loading and transfering to other servers, then there are ads, privacy issues, etc.

I got an email from them saying that they already purchased the server and are in the process of transferring all the websites.

Amoebaos.com is a good free professional webhost.

I bet they will get something messed up in 5-6 months.

I really hope not. I have like 50 scripts installed under them.

0000free.com has viruses in its ads. For like 404 errors redirection. not pleased.
