so if anyone knows which version supports this pc please let me know. because i really dislike windows and would rather use this to run mac instead of buying $2000 pc. i know it may not be stable 100% but i just want t run some basic programs it has. (iMovie GarageBand)

I tried hackintoshing a while ago, didn't have much success. I later managed to get it running in a virtual machine. My findings? The OS isn't very good without the hardware. Would not recommend.

Consideration is given to the chipset and video card, because without QE / CI, no use trying to install hackintosh because it would not have graphics acceleration, which the vast majority of apps Apple's demands.

Man I don't know what you guys are talking about but setting up a hackintosh is the easy part. With the right drivers, Hackintosh is better then the real Mac if you ask me. And I would definitely recommend that you try it, and trust me from my experience, go the legit way. Its the $30 for a DVD of Snow Leopard and it will work a million times better than any distro.

I installed 10.6.7 on my Ati powered Core2Duo Satellite L500 - everything but internal Wifi is working 100%. ilife 11 runs perfectly as does Photoshop CS5 and all the other modern apps.
Note : must install any version of 10.6.x, remove original graphics kexts, boot in safe mode to get to the Desktop. then upgrade to 10.6.7 and install the modded Ati Radeon kexts for QE/CI and the bootloader. And this is 64bit only.

seems like a decent system, you can try running retail mac os x snow leopard you can use a boot patcher like myhack installer, but some good distros include kalyway 10.5.2 (usually updateable if done right), iatkos 10.5x, XxX 10.5.6, snow os x, 10.6.2. The distro you would like could work well if appropriate drivers are included. Assuming it does, some good boot flags on prompt would be "-v" "cpus=1" "cpus=1 -v" "-x" "-f" all of which without quotes and you can make different combinations with them. Oh and kext helper is your friend. After installing kexts assuming the sytem boots, reccommended to repair permission with disk utility. During install use MBR and mac os journaled. Hope this helps

I used to have 2 Hackintosh machines, one was an HP Pavilion 504n running OS X Tiger 10.4.3, and everything worked out of the box.
I also had a Compaq Presario C700 laptop that was almost physically identical (in terms of hardware) to a Late 2007 Macbook (Which I now actually own one). It ran OS x 10.5.3 really great, but it's only problem was that the headphone and line-in ports didn't work.
I haven't had any success with my new PC, but it's an AMD machine.
YMMV in terms of compatibility, but the first thing is, it's easier to try on an intel machine, especially since you can run OS X 10.6 and update, like a real mac.
Second, Check your hardware: The major things that can be incompatible are your Graphics card, SATA controller, network(LAN/WIFI), or your sound card. A great resource is Insanelymac, they have a lot of custom drivers for many different pieces of hardware that can help fix quite a bit of incompatibilities.
Third, and the most important: Don't do this on your main machine, there is a good chance of wiping out your main partition and losing all of your files, so either swap your main drive with a test one, or use a spare machine.
