I'm asking you guys because I I have asked other places and people just don't reply at all. If this is a wrong thread or topic, then any mod can have my apologies. I am looking for a kext file for my Realtek ALC888 for Snow Leopard 64bit. Any help at all is appreciated. I also have Windows dual booting so if you need to know any other information, I will provide it in less than 24 hours. Thanks a bunch guys.
Run Kext Helper inside and install the kext this way. Works great on Lion Dev 1 and Dev 2. And sorry, Dells are not so popular here, it's unlikely I even get my hands on it.

Ok. And one more question. Do you have any other files in /S/L/E/ or /E/E related to audio? If you do, what are they and can you give me those as well? Thanks a lot. And with this kext you select your sound output from the Sound prefpane not the VoodooHDA one right?

Even if I do, kernel ignores them anyway. You only need VoodooHDA.kext. Actually, you configure audio in the kext's plist, but this exact kext have fit for my sound card and motherboard. I just have Front and Rear outputs swapped, but I can't be bothered to change it, as I think that it doesn't matter.

Ok. I will restart now and tell you what happens. Man I hope this works. I have tried every kext file out there.
EDIT: I should have rephrased my question. I needed a kext that will get my rear headphone port to work but you know what, I gave up. In life you make compromises, so I got of my lazy @$$, unplugged the speakers and plugged them into the front. Everything works like a charm now. Thanks anyways.
