Either someone is bored and is DDoSing the site again or there are issues at the data centre. Sit tight.

I'm not really noticing anything big but it is a little slower.

Edit: Are you sure that somebody didn't cut the orange wire at the data center?

Also me, it was fine in all the day.

I tested it from 14:15 local time (GMT+4) and also yesterday at night and it was fine.

So you were uploading Windows 8 ISOs into BA FTP?

If that was the problem, then fine it doesn't make alot of problems.

Uploading files would not cause complete loss of connectivity to the server.

Probably load caused by / due to heavy downloading or was it actually some "ddos" ?

What are the server specs by the way if I may ask.

The specs are:
a Core 2 Quad Q6700 @ 2.6 GHz
2 Gb DDR2 ram
1 Tb hard drive space
running:
Windows Server 2008 R2 Web Edition.

They are also found here: http://www.betaarchive.com/serverinfo.php.

Partially wrong, it's 4GB RAM, not 2. The rest is correct.

I though there was a problem with a ram slot and you had to lose some of the ram

That's the home server for the backups, not the one that runs the site. The server info page also distinguishes between the two: :)

I usually use a *Nix server not a Win* server, I find that *Nix servers are built to handle a bit more than Win* Servers.
