Good luck on your project ! If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you some questions : Does your OS run in Real, Protected or Extended mode ? Or is it some form of hybrid (like 9x) ? Did you code your own bootloader or are you booting HeinanOS from grub ? And lastly, how did you port the standard C library ?
I'm quite interested in this because I'd like to delve into OS development myself.

HeinanOS runs in protected mode. I coded my own bootloader. How I ported? Easily, once you know what each function does, you write the code to make it do so, and you got the function.

Are there any new testing builds out? I'm getting a bit bored without something to test.

Yes, there is Build 42, but I consider it highly unstable.. I'm trying to improve the code a little. If everything goes as planned, then during the coming Friday you should get Build 43.

Saturday now, no new build, but I'll wait. Also, it would be awesome if you included a pi function. You can download a text file with 100000 decimals of pi here. Use as much as you can.

Oh dear. I haven't been online for a couple of weeks and I'm totally lost! What are the newest and most stable builds of HeinanOS so far?
The current public release is M2 R2, the current testing release is Build 43, and the current private-build is... well, only Daniel1981 knows.

I must say that currently Build 41 is considered HeinanOS most stable build, so it's recommended running it.
Yes, that's true.
Daniel? Did you receive the PM I send you? It contains a full list of bugs found so far, but I got no response from you.

Its quite amazing what you have done. I've looked at OS development before but I can never get memory management to work, never mind output to a screen. Have you got any links that could be helpful?

If so, please enter my site (heinanos.ios.st), and apply yourself for the HeinanOS Beta Testing Program.
I will accept you and you will start reciving private builds via the e-mail address you specified.
I registered and the website won't let me access any of the threads. -_-
Oh, and this website hasn't got any updates during the last few monthes, and will no longer be active.. It's just I'm trying to close it, but the company who hosts it won't allow that until July 2011..
