I succeeded running XP mode in Windows 7 that was running in VMWare Workstation. I tried installing VirtualBox in that XP Mode VM, but it didn't work properly (XP install froze after it finished loading drivers - when it should switch to protected mode).

Image is self-explanatory (look at the error).

Yay for Vista.

Actually I think it was taken on Windows 7 and also, it is an error from pearpc itsself not from Windows.
I wasn't referring to the screenshot. The screenshot reminded me of something I'd seen before, that's all. Anyway, whether it was Vista or not, it seems like something Vista would do, somehow - in terms of common assumptions, of course

And that is just an wrong assumption, most problems come from the user itsself using the OS wrong or from unstable programs or drivers. The OS its self not wrong here.

I did this a while ago, it ran fast and was fairly stable
I installed Windows XP SP3 in a VirtualBox VM and then installed Chicago build 56 inside that with Virtual PC 2004. Slow as all hell but it worked. I have a dual-boot configuration now so I don't need VMs for XP.

Can I ask why Vista decided for no reason no longer detect my mouse? But Vista is riddled with bugs.
USB, worked before, now doesn't. And I agree with unstable programs. ROBLOX gave me a BSoD on my old PC with Vista and on my NEW LAPTOP with Windows 7. (Just don't play that game!)

Now that's what I call precision:
Wow, I didn't know that MS cared that much about calculating the download size. It also has the Malicious Software Removal Tool and IE8 which is also precision, to remove IE!
