This screenshot was possibly made by Microsoft Snipping Tool from Windows 8. As you can see, near the Aero Peek button there is a face of a russian prime minister (the profile picture is placed there now). The screenshots were leaked from the user Vlad62. Also, the uTorrent and FileZilla Server (aha, FTPing unleaked builds :P) icons are seen, probably the leaked OS was installed on a home PC. The language indicator of ENG/RUS is unfinished, and therefore is gray.

Image

This one seems like the same build, but the server compile. You can see the default Windows Server profile picture, near the Aero Peek (Show Desktop) button. That 'let's not leak' thing is actually a wallpaper, probably the default one. The titlebar font is centered.

These both screenshots are possibly from the Windows 8 Milestone 3 build.

Looks like new "x" button style ...

Funny,same eval date as a Win7 build (around M3/beta) (but 2 years later :P)

Personally, I think that that configuration is only applied on Basic visual style (I mean, centered titlebar and close button).

I can't trust anything that hasn't been verified by Microsoft themselves.
To me it looks nearly identical to Windows 7. No significant changes
Edit: anyone know what that floppy disk icon is for down the botoom lefthand side
and is it a possiblity that they just edited this pic?Image

They didn't edit it. Your another screenshot proves, that the build is real. The profile pic displays in both your screenshots and Vlad62's screenshots.

Interesting thing about the server build: the superbar appears to differ from the one contained in Windows Server 2008 R2. I'm sure that looks like the superbar out of Aurora...

Seems pointless to add in the display picture to the task tray. It's already full of stuff as it is without the pointless display picture. If it's for switching accounts, stick it in the start menu where it belongs.

Another fake screenshot from unknown Russian fakemaker. Everything we know about him is that he is a great fan of Putin. :D

Why fake? Vlad62 seems to be an VMP and his screenshots match the Win7China screenshots.

Your ones.
And considering the fact that they are so small, they are very like fakes.

They aren't fakes, methinks. These images have been confirmed by various trusted sources.

I'm just mad that so many people have the leak and I'm not one of them lol :(

Go to the Windows 8 thread on MDL and you'll find that at least 3 people already have a build of Windows 8!

Someone even posted an ftp link, but of course its private. There are rumors of a leak during the RTW of IE9 but I highly doubt it....

personaly, that's nothing new. we've seen the user acc picture in previous screens and language bar isn't so freakin important to be remade. again, they've made no progress or very little at all! i wonder what will the final build number be...

I agree entirely.

Also Aero Basic finally looks decent in my opinion.

I was reading on another website, that that may not even be the Basic theme- It may be the classic theme.

yes, i read that too. But if they change it, it won't be classic/standard anymore. But the naming is super duper confusing. In 95, when the theme was introduced, it was named standard. same in 98. but when 2000 and me arrived the 95/98 was renamed to classic and the new one was standard. same in xp and vista. in 7 the ditched the true classic and renamed standard to classic.

I guarantee you, if it's real, it will leak sooner or later.
